1. Who we are
AroraTools (the “Service”), available at aroratools.com, is operated by AroraLabs (“we”, “us”, “our”). For the purposes of applicable data protection law, AroraLabs is the controller of the limited personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at contact [at] aroratools.com.
2. Your files
Every tool on the Service runs inside your web browser. Files, images, documents, text and other content that you open in a tool (“Your Content”) are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. We cannot see, access, copy or store Your Content, and we do not use it for any purpose, including training of any model.
Some tools need to download program code (for example, a file-format library) the first time you use them. These downloads come from our own website and contain no information about you or Your Content.
3. Information we collect
We do not offer accounts, and we do not ask for your name, address, payment details or other identity information. We process only:
- Technical connection data. When your browser requests a page, our hosting and security providers necessarily receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is needed to deliver the website and protect it against abuse.
- Aggregated usage statistics. We use a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, from which countries and types of device, and how quickly pages load. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and anything you choose to attach.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal information (such as health or biometric data).
4. How and why we use it
| Information | Purpose | Legal basis (EU/UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Technical connection data | Delivering pages, keeping the Service secure and available, preventing abuse | Legitimate interests in operating a secure website |
| Aggregated usage statistics | Understanding which tools are useful, fixing slow or broken pages | Legitimate interests in improving the Service |
| Messages you send us | Reading and replying to you, handling requests and reports | Legitimate interests in responding; where relevant, compliance with a legal obligation |
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Cookies and storage on your device
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Service stores a few small settings in your browser’s own storage so that it works as you expect, for example your chosen light or dark theme and how you like the tool gallery displayed. Some tools may also briefly keep a result on your device so that you can carry it into another tool. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy before it starts and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
6. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, acting on our instructions:
- hosting, content delivery and security providers;
- a privacy-focused website analytics provider;
- email service providers, to receive and answer messages you send us.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.
7. International transfers
Our service providers operate globally, so information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not have equivalent data protection laws. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
8. How long we keep it
- Technical connection data is kept by our providers only for short periods needed for security and operations.
- Usage statistics are kept in aggregated form that does not identify you.
- Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, and then deleted.
9. Security
The Service is served only over encrypted connections and uses modern browser security protections. Because Your Content is processed on your device and never sent to us, it cannot be exposed through a breach of our systems. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information sent over the internet.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and receive a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, and receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting earlier processing;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email contact [at] aroratools.com. We will respond within the time the law allows, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. As we hold very little information and no accounts, we may need you to tell us which message or date your request relates to.

12. Children
The Service is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page.
