About this tool
Merge PDF joins two or more PDF files into a single document. It is the quick way to send one attachment instead of five, to put a cover letter in front of a CV, or to gather scanned pages, receipts and forms into one file for an application.
It is made for everyday paperwork: people applying for visas, loans or jobs, small businesses sending quotes with terms attached, students combining assignment parts, and anyone who has been asked for “a single PDF”.
What makes it different is privacy. The documents people merge are often the sensitive kind — bank statements, payslips, passports, contracts. Most merging websites upload them to their servers to do the work. AroraTools merges them inside your own browser, so the files never leave your device. There is no account, no limit on how often you use it, and no watermark stamped on your pages.
How to use Merge PDF
- Tap “Choose PDFs” or drag your files onto the box. You can add more at any time.
- Check the order. Drag a row up or down, or use the arrow buttons — the number on the left shows where each file will go.
- Remove anything you added by mistake with the × button.
- Optional: type a name for the new file in “File name”.
- Press “Merge PDFs”, then “Download PDF” to save the combined document.
ExampleA two-page cover letter, a three-page CV and a one-page reference become one six-page PDF, with the pages in the order of the list.
Features
- Merge up to 40 PDF files at once.
- Reorder by dragging, or with the up and down buttons on phones and with a keyboard.
- Shows the page count and size of every file before you merge, plus the total.
- Pages are copied exactly as they are: text stays sharp and selectable, and images are not re-compressed.
- Name the merged file before you download it.
- Password-protected PDFs are spotted straight away with a clear message, instead of failing halfway through.
- Merging runs in a background worker, so the page doesn’t freeze on large documents.
Tips and good to know
- The merged file is roughly the size of all your PDFs added together. If it is too big to email, a Compress PDF tool is the next step.
- Bookmarks (the clickable outline in a PDF reader’s sidebar) are not carried over into the merged file.
- Fillable form fields may stop being fillable after merging. Fill in and save forms first, then merge them.
- Need just a few pages from a long document? Split it first, then merge the parts you want.
- Very large files, in the hundreds of megabytes, can be too much for a phone’s memory. A computer copes much better.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. The merging is done by your browser on your own device. Your documents are never sent to AroraTools or anyone else.
Is it free? Are there any limits?
It is completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark. You can merge up to 40 files at a time, as often as you like.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Pick files from Files, Google Drive or your downloads in Safari or Chrome, use the arrow buttons to set the order, then merge. The page needs the internet to open, but the merging happens on your phone.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. If a file has a password, the tool tells you as soon as you add it. Open it in a PDF reader with the password, save a copy without protection, then add that copy.
Will the quality of my pages change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and drawings look exactly the same as in the original files.
Can I change the order of pages inside a file?
This tool sets the order of whole files. To reorder or remove single pages, use a dedicated page tool first and then merge the result.
