1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and AroraLabs (“we”, “us”, “our”), which operates AroraTools at aroratools.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to ourPrivacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service provides free online tools that run inside your web browser. Files and other content you open in a tool (“Your Content”) are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. No account is required, and the Service is provided free of charge.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
4. Your Content and your responsibilities
- You keep all rights in Your Content. We claim no ownership of, and receive no licence to, anything you process with the Service.
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use, copy, convert, edit or otherwise process Your Content, including any rights of other people in it.
- Tools that remove protections from a file (for example, a password) may be used only on files you own or are authorised to unlock.
- Results can differ from what you expect: compression reduces quality, conversions may not preserve every feature of a format, and recognition tools can make mistakes. Check every result before you rely on it, and keep your original files.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break any law or to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- use the Service to create, process or distribute unlawful, fraudulent or harmful material;
- attempt to disrupt, overload or impair the Service, probe or bypass its security, or access it with automated means at a volume that degrades it for others;
- copy, re-host, frame or resell the Service, or present it as your own;
- misrepresent your affiliation with us.
6. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms. “AroraTools” and “AroraLabs” and their logos may not be used without our permission.
7. Third-party software and links
The Service includes open-source software, used under its own licence terms, which are listed on ourlicences page. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licences. The Service may link to other websites; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove tools or features, and may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, without notice. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors. We may restrict access for anyone who breaches these Terms.
9. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. You use the Service and its results at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to AUD $50.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Where such a right applies, our liability is limited to the extent the law permits.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of mandatory laws, and access to the courts, of the country where you live.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. By continuing to use the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
