    About this tool

Rotate PDF turns the pages of a PDF a quarter turn at a time. You can fix a single page that was scanned the wrong way, turn every page at once, or flip a whole document that came out upside down. You see each page as a small picture and watch it turn, so you know exactly what you will get before you save.

It suits anyone who deals with scans and phone photos of paper: a landscape table stuck sideways in a report, a form fed into the scanner upside down, receipts photographed at odd angles, or slides that open on their side. It is also handy before you print, send or merge a file, so nobody has to tilt their head to read it.

Two things set it apart. First, privacy: your document is opened and changed inside your own browser and is never sent to a server. Second, nothing is redrawn. The tool only changes the setting that tells a PDF reader which way up each page sits, so text stays sharp and selectable, links keep working, and the file is about the same size as before. It is free, with no account and no watermark.

    How to use Rotate PDF

    1. Tap “Choose a PDF” or drop your file onto the box. A card shows its name, page count and size.
    2. Tap or click any page to turn it a quarter turn clockwise. Use the small ↺ button on a page to turn it anticlockwise instead.
    3. To change every page at once, use “↺ Turn all left”, “↻ Turn all right” or “Turn all upside down”. “Undo all turns” puts everything back.
    4. Check the counter, for example “3 of 12 pages turned”, then press “Save rotated PDF”.
    5. Press “Download PDF” to save the new file.

ExampleA 12-page scanned contract has page 4 on its side and page 9 upside down. Click page 4 once and page 9 twice, save, and you get contract-rotated.pdf with every page the right way up.

    Features

    • Turn single pages or the whole document in 90° steps, clockwise or anticlockwise.
    • Every page is shown as a thumbnail that turns as you click, so you see the result before saving.
    • Turned pages are highlighted and tagged with how far they have moved: +90°, +180° or +270°.
    • Pages are not redrawn or re-compressed: text stays selectable, links still work and quality is unchanged.
    • The turn is saved into the file itself, so it shows the same way in any PDF reader, on any printer and on phones.
    • Thumbnails are drawn as you scroll to them, so long documents open quickly.
    • Work runs in a background worker, so the page stays responsive.
    • Password-protected and damaged files are spotted on opening with a plain message.

    Tips and good to know

    • Your new file is named after the original with “-rotated” added, so the two never get mixed up.
    • If a page already had a rotation set, your turn is added to it. The thumbnails always show pages the way they look now, so trust what you see.
    • It only turns pages in quarter turns. It can’t straighten a scan that is a few degrees crooked.
    • “Save rotated PDF” stays greyed out until at least one page has been turned.
    • After saving, links to Merge, Compress PDF and Split PDF let you carry on with the same document.
    • If you press “Start over” before downloading, you will be asked to confirm, so a finished file is never lost by accident.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and rotated by your browser on your own device. It is never sent to AroraTools or anyone else.

Is it free? Are there any limits?

Yes, it is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. You can rotate as many pages and documents as you like. It handles one PDF at a time.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Choose a PDF from Files, Google Drive or your downloads in Safari or Chrome, tap pages to turn them, then save and download. The page needs the internet to open, but the rotating happens on your phone.

Will rotating make my PDF blurry or bigger?

No. The pages are not redrawn. Only the page’s rotation setting changes, so text, images and drawings look exactly as before and the file size stays about the same.

    Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The new direction is saved inside the PDF, so it opens the right way up in every PDF reader, browser and phone, and prints that way too.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Click or tap only the pages you want to turn. The rest stay exactly as they were.

    Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?

Not yet. The tool tells you as soon as you open a file with a password. Open it in a PDF reader with the password, save a copy without protection, then rotate that copy.
