About this tool
SVG to PNG Converter turns vector graphics into ordinary pictures. An SVG is a set of drawing instructions rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size, but plenty of places refuse it: social networks, email signatures, office documents, app stores and many upload forms. This tool draws your SVG at the size you choose and saves it as PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF.
Because the SVG is redrawn from its shapes at the final size, a 24-pixel icon exported at 8× comes out crisp at 192 pixels, not blurry. You can size by scale, by width or height, to an exact box, or pick a ready-made size for favicons, app icons and social posts. One click makes a whole icon set: nine PNG sizes plus a favicon.ico, zipped per logo.
It suits designers, developers making app and website icons, and anyone sent an SVG they can’t open. Everything happens in your browser, so unreleased logos never leave your device, and SVGs are drawn safely as pictures: scripts inside them don’t run.
How to use SVG to PNG Converter
- Tap “Choose files” or drop SVG files on the box. To use code instead, open “Paste SVG code instead”, paste it and press “Add this SVG”, or simply paste it anywhere on the page.
- Under “Save as”, pick PNG, JPG, WebP or AVIF.
- Under Size, choose Scale (1× to 8×), Width, Height, Exact, Preset or Icon set, and fill in the numbers. The note below shows the size you’ll get.
- Set Padding if you want space around the drawing, and choose a Background: None, White, Black or your own colour.
- Press the convert button, for example “Convert 3 SVGs to PNG”. Download each picture from its row, or all of them together as one ZIP.
A 24 × 24 icon at Scale 8× becomes a crisp 192 × 192 PNG. With “Icon set” it becomes icon-16.png to icon-512.png plus icon-favicon.ico, in one ZIP.
Features
- Takes SVG files (up to 50 at once) or SVG code you paste in.
- Shows each SVG’s own size, from its width and height or its viewBox, even in mm, cm, pt or inches.
- Saves PNG, JPG, WebP and AVIF; formats your browser can’t create are greyed out.
- Size by scale (1×, 2×, 3×, 4×, 8×), by width or height with the other side following, or an exact width × height that fits inside or stretches.
- Presets for favicons (16, 32, 48), Apple touch icon (180), Android and web apps (192, 512), App Store (1024) and social media: link previews, Instagram posts, portraits and stories, X and LinkedIn headers, YouTube thumbnails.
- Icon set: nine square PNGs from 16 to 512 pixels plus a favicon.ico holding 16, 32 and 48 pixels, zipped for each SVG.
- Padding from 0 to 40%, and a transparent, white, black or custom background.
- Safe drawing: scripts and event handlers inside an SVG are removed and never run, and nothing is loaded from the internet.
Tips and good to know
- For a website favicon, Icon set gives you everything at once: use the .ico for older browsers, 180 for iPhones and 192 and 512 for Android and web apps.
- Choose PNG or WebP to keep a see-through background. JPG can’t be see-through, so empty areas turn white unless you pick a colour.
- Presets keep your drawing’s shape: a square logo on a 1200 × 630 link preview sits in the middle. Add a little padding so it doesn’t touch the edges.
- An SVG that relies on web fonts it doesn’t contain will use a fallback font, because nothing is downloaded. Turn text into outlines in your design app first for an exact match.
- Animations and HTML inside an SVG aren’t drawn; you get a still of its starting state.
- Results stay under about 16 megapixels so every browser can make them; a bigger size is scaled down and its row says so.
Frequently asked questions
Are my SVG files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser reads and draws each SVG on your own device. Nothing is sent to AroraTools or anyone else, and everything is cleared when you close the page.
Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up and no watermark. You can convert up to 50 SVGs at a time, each up to about 16 megapixels, for example 4000 × 4000.
Does it work on iPhone, Android and offline?
Yes, in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. The page needs the internet to open, but converting happens on your device. Safari can’t save WebP or AVIF, so those are greyed out there.
Will the PNG be blurry if I make it bigger?
No. The SVG is drawn again from its shapes at the final size, so edges stay sharp at 8× or at 4000 pixels wide. Only a picture embedded inside the SVG can look soft when enlarged.
Is it safe to open an SVG from someone else?
Here, yes. SVGs can contain scripts, so this tool removes them and draws the file as a plain picture, where browsers never run scripts or load anything from the web.
How do I make a favicon from my SVG logo?
Choose Size, then Icon set, and press the button. You get a ZIP with a favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 pixels) and PNGs from 16 to 512 pixels, including 180 for Apple devices.
Why does my SVG come out at an odd size?
Some SVGs have no width or height, only a viewBox, or nothing at all. The row shows where the size came from; if it says “browser default”, use Width or Exact instead.
