About this tool
PNG is great for screenshots, logos and graphics, but photos saved as PNG are huge, and plenty of forms, marketplaces and older programs only take JPG. Converting is the obvious fix, with one catch: JPG cannot be see-through. Every transparent pixel has to become a solid colour, and many converters quietly turn it black.
This page opens Image Converter set for PNG to JPG, with see-through areas filled with white, which is what most documents and listings expect. Pick any other colour with the colour picker if your logo needs to sit on a dark or brand-coloured background. Quality starts at 90, which looks the same as the PNG to the eye while making photos much smaller.
You can convert one file or a batch of 50, and each keeps its name with the new ending. The converting happens in your browser, so your images never leave your device, and there is no watermark or sign-up.
How to use PNG to JPG
- Tap “Choose files”, drag PNGs onto the box, or paste a screenshot with ⌘V or Ctrl+V.
- The note above the tool shows the job: PNG to JPG, white background, quality 90.
- To change the fill, use “See-through areas become” and pick a colour. Adjust “Quality” if you want smaller files.
- Press the button, for example “Convert 8 images to JPG”, then download each one or all together as a ZIP.
A 4.6 MB PNG photo exported from an editor becomes a JPG of about 900 KB at quality 90. A logo with a transparent background comes out on white, or on navy if you pick navy.

Tips and good to know
- Screenshots full of text and flat colour often look crisper as PNG. Convert them only if a site insists on JPG, and keep quality at 90 or above.
- Keep your original PNG: once transparency is filled in, it cannot be brought back from the JPG.
- For a logo going on a coloured website section, pick that section’s exact colour so the edges blend.
- Need it under a size limit, such as 100 KB? Use Compress Image to Size after converting.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Your browser converts them on your own device. Nothing is sent to AroraTools or to anyone else.
Is it free? Are there limits?
It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Each batch holds up to 50 images.
Does it work on my phone, and offline?
Yes, in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge on iPhone and Android. The page needs the internet to open; the converting happens on your device.
Why did the transparent parts of my PNG turn white?
JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas must become a solid colour. This page uses white; choose another colour under “See-through areas become” before converting.
Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?
For photos, almost always, often by 70% or more. For simple graphics with few colours the PNG can already be small, so the saving is less.
Does converting to JPG lose quality?
A little, because JPG compresses by dropping detail the eye barely sees. At quality 90 the difference is hard to spot; raise it to 100 for the closest match.
