About this tool

Photo Collage Maker places between 2 and 12 photos into one picture. Pick a layout, slide each photo until the best part shows, set the gaps and corners, and save one image ready to post, send or print.

There are more than 20 layouts, and the list changes with the number of photos you add: plain grids, mosaics, brick walls, a golden spiral, a pinwheel for five, film strips, and big-photo layouts where one picture takes the lead and the rest sit beside it. Every layout works on every canvas, from a square post and a tall Story to a widescreen slide or an A4 sheet at print quality.

Most free collage sites shrink your photos, stamp a logo on the result or want an account before you can download. Here the photos never leave your device: they are arranged by your own browser, the file is made at the full size you chose, and there is no watermark, sign-up or daily limit.

How to use Photo Collage Maker

  1. Press “Choose photos”, drop them on the box or paste them. Add 2 to 12; you can add or remove more later.
  2. Pick a layout from the “Layout” panel. Its name appears next to the heading.
  3. Tap a photo in the preview and drag it to choose which part shows. Zoom with the slider, a pinch, or the scroll wheel once the photo is chosen. Drag a photo’s round handle onto another photo to swap them.
  4. Choose the “Canvas” size, then set “Spacing”, “Outer margin”, “Rounded corners” and a “Background” colour.
  5. Press “Make collage”, check the preview, then press “Download collage”.
Example

Five holiday photos on “Story / Reel” with the Pinwheel layout, 32 px spacing and a navy background give a 1080 × 1920 JPG called collage-1080x1920.jpg, ready for an Instagram Story.

Features

  • 2 to 12 photos per collage, in JPG, PNG, HEIC (iPhone), WebP, AVIF, TIFF, GIF, BMP, SVG or ICO.
  • Over 20 layouts that adapt to the photo count, with duplicates hidden so every choice looks different.
  • Canvas sizes: square 1080 and 2160, 4:5 portrait post, 1080 × 1920 Story, 16:9 widescreen, A4 upright or sideways and 6 × 4 in at 300 dpi, or any custom size up to 8000 px a side.
  • Spacing, outer margin and rounded corners scale with the canvas, and the panel shows each one in real pixels.
  • Eight ready background colours plus a colour picker for any shade.
  • Move and zoom each photo inside its box (up to 5×), swap photos by dragging, shuffle them all, or press “Fit again” to reset one.
  • Keyboard friendly: Tab to a photo’s handle, use the arrow keys to slide it, + and − to zoom, 0 to reset, and Shift with an arrow to swap it with its neighbour.
  • Saves JPG or PNG at the exact canvas size. Print sizes carry a 300 dpi tag so they print at the right size.

Tips and good to know

  • Put your strongest photo in the big box: drag its handle onto the big cell and the two photos trade places.
  • Changing the layout or canvas fits every photo afresh, so choose those first and fine-tune positions last.
  • A little spacing with a white or warm white background gives a gallery look; zero spacing makes one seamless picture.
  • For printing, pick an A4 or 6 × 4 option and save as JPG. Each photo is kept at up to 2400 px on its long side, which is plenty for a cell on an A4 page.
  • PNG files are much bigger than JPG for photos. Use PNG only if you need perfectly crisp edges or plan to edit the collage further.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Your browser arranges and saves the collage on your own device. The photos are never sent to AroraTools or anyone else.

Is it free, and are there limits?

It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Each collage holds 2 to 12 photos, and you can make as many collages as you like.

Does it work on a phone, and offline?

Yes, on iPhone and Android: drag photos with a finger and pinch to zoom. The page needs a connection to open, but once it has loaded the collage is made entirely on your phone.

What size should an Instagram collage be?

Use “Square · 1080 × 1080” or “Portrait post 4:5 · 1080 × 1350” for a feed post, and “Story / Reel · 1080 × 1920” for a Story. Instagram shows those sizes in full in the feed and in Stories.

Can I choose which part of each photo shows?

Yes. Every photo fills its box, and you drag it to pick the part you want. Zoom in for a closer crop. Nothing is stretched: the photo keeps its shape and the edges outside the box are hidden.

Can I print the collage?

Yes. Pick “A4 print” or “6 × 4 in print”. They are made at 300 dpi, the usual quality for photo prints, and the file tells the printer that resolution.

Why can’t I make a collage with one photo or more than 12?

A collage needs at least two photos. Twelve is the limit so the page stays fast on phones, since every photo is held in memory while you arrange them. For more, make two collages and combine them.
