About this tool
Fancy Text Generator turns ordinary words into styled text you can paste where fonts can’t normally be changed: an Instagram or TikTok bio, a display name, a game tag, a caption or a chat message. Type once and every style updates at the same time, from bold and italic to script handwriting, gothic fraktur, outlined double-struck letters, bubble and square letters, small capitals, upside-down text and strikethrough.
There is no font involved. Unicode, the standard list of every character computers know, includes complete alphabets of bold, italic, script and other letter shapes, made for maths formulas. This tool swaps each of your letters for its look-alike from those alphabets, so the style travels with the text wherever you paste it.
We are upfront about the downside. Screen readers, used by blind and partially sighted people, may read these symbols one by one or skip them, search can’t find them, and some older phones show empty boxes. The profile preview and the honest note above the styles help you decide where a little decoration is worth it. Everything happens in your browser, and your text is not uploaded or stored.
How to use Fancy Text Generator
- Type your name, bio line or caption into “Your text”. Until you type, the styles show a sample.
- Scroll the list: every style shows your text straight away.
- Tap a style to see it in the “How it looks in a profile” card, along with how many characters it uses.
- Press “Copy” next to the style you like, or “Copy this style” under the preview.
- Paste it into your app. If you see boxes, try a simpler style such as Bold or Small capitals.
“Hello World” becomes 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 in Bold, ℋℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ 𝒲ℴ𝓇𝓁𝒹 in Script, ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕠 𝕎𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 in Double-struck, Hᴇʟʟᴏ Wᴏʀʟᴅ in Small capitals and plɹoM ollǝH upside down.
Features
- 32 styles: Bold, Italic, Bold italic, Script, Bold script, Fraktur, Bold fraktur, Double-struck, four Sans-serif styles, Monospace, Small capitals, Tiny, Wide, Circled and Squared (each plain and filled), In brackets, Upside down, Back to front, Strikethrough, Slashed, Underlined, Double underlined, Spaced out and four decorative frames.
- The correct symbols for the letters Unicode stores elsewhere, such as script ℬ, ℰ and ℯ and double-struck ℂ, ℝ and ℤ, so no letter is left as an empty gap.
- Accents are kept: é becomes a styled e with its accent, and numbers get bold, outline, sans-serif, monospace, circled and tiny versions where they exist.
- Emoji, Chinese, Cyrillic and other alphabets pass through untouched instead of breaking.
- A profile preview with your text as a display name and inside a bio line, plus its length as you see it and as X (Twitter) counts it.
- One-tap copy for every style, with a confirmation message.
Tips and good to know
- Styled letters use more space than they look. On X each one counts as 2 characters, and in most apps a bold letter is stored as two codes, so check bio limits with a little room spare.
- Keep your real name in plain text somewhere on your profile. People search for plain letters, and screen readers can read them.
- Bold, Italic, Sans-serif and Small capitals are the most widely supported. Filled squared letters such as 🅰 and 🅱 can turn into coloured emoji on some phones.
- Upside down and Back to front reverse the order of your text, so read the result before you post it.
- Strikethrough and underline are made with tiny marks added to each letter. They look right in most apps but may sit slightly off in some fonts.
Frequently asked questions
Is my text uploaded or saved?
No. The styles are made by your own browser as you type. Nothing is sent to AroraTools or anyone else, and your text is gone when you close the tab.
Is it free? Are there any limits?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no length limit set by the tool. Very long texts simply take a little longer to restyle.
Does it work on iPhone, Android and offline?
Yes, in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. You need the internet to open the page, but after that it keeps working without a connection. How the result looks depends on the fonts on the phone you paste it into.
Will these fonts work on Instagram, TikTok and X?
Usually, because they are Unicode characters rather than fonts. Most styles show correctly in bios, names and captions, though a few apps block some symbols in usernames, and older devices may show boxes.
Are fancy fonts bad for accessibility?
They can be. Screen readers may read each symbol by its technical name or skip it, which makes a styled name or sentence hard to follow. Use them for small touches of decoration and keep anything important in plain text.
Why do some letters look different or stay plain?
Not every style exists for every character. Tiny text has no small q, for example, and styles only cover the Latin alphabet and digits, so other letters and emoji are kept as they are.
