About this tool
A plain screenshot dropped into a tweet, slide or app store page looks flat and unfinished. Screenshot Beautifier sets it on a colourful background with rounded corners and a soft, realistic shadow, so it looks like a designed image rather than a quick grab. It is made for developers sharing code and product updates, designers showing work, marketers writing social posts, and anyone writing documentation or a blog post.
Paste with Ctrl+V or ⌘V, or drop a file, and the preview updates instantly as you change things. Choose from gradient presets, a soft mesh gradient you can shuffle, any solid colour, a blurred copy of the screenshot itself, or a transparent background. Add an optional window frame, either a desktop title bar with the three coloured buttons or a browser bar with an address you can type, in light or dark. Canvas presets fit social sizes such as 16:9, square, Instagram 4:5, X and LinkedIn, and a gentle 3D tilt is there when you want a bit of depth.
Everything is drawn by your browser on your device. Screenshots often show private dashboards, emails or code, so it matters that nothing is uploaded. There is no account, no watermark and no limit.
How to use Screenshot Beautifier
- Paste a screenshot (Ctrl+V or ⌘V), drop it on the box, or press Choose a screenshot.
- Pick a Background tab (Gradient, Mesh, Colour, Blur or None) and tap a swatch.
- Adjust Padding, Corner radius and Shadow, then choose a Window frame and type a title or address if you like.
- Choose a canvas Size and, if you want depth, a 3D tilt.
- Pick 1× or 2× sharp, then press Download PNG or Copy image to paste it straight into a chat or document.
A 1440 × 900 screenshot with the Midnight lab gradient, 8% padding and a browser frame comes out as a 1670 × 1196 PNG at 1×; choose the X / Twitter size and it fits neatly in 1600 × 900.

Tips and good to know
- Use 2× for anything shown on phones or high-resolution screens; it keeps small text crisp.
- Busy screenshots look calmer on a soft background: try Mesh or Blur instead of a bright gradient.
- Crop out browser toolbars before you start and use the Browser frame instead: it looks cleaner and you choose the address shown.
- For transparent PNGs, keep the shadow light, since it will sit on whatever colour the image is placed on.
- Social sites crop and compress images. Pick the matching canvas size so nothing important gets cut off.
Frequently asked questions
Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. The picture is drawn entirely in your browser on your own device and never sent anywhere. That makes it safe for screenshots of private dashboards, messages or code.
Is it free? Is there a watermark?
It is free, with no sign-up, no limit and no watermark. The only cap is size: very large exports are scaled down to about 16 megapixels, the most Safari and many phones can draw.
Does it work on a phone or offline?
Yes. It works in Safari, Chrome and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers, and keeps working without a connection once the page has loaded. On a phone, use Choose a screenshot to pick from your photos.
Why does Copy image not work in my browser?
Copying pictures needs the browser’s clipboard permission. Recent Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox support it, but some browsers or settings block it. Download PNG always works.
Can I keep the background transparent?
Yes. Choose the None tab and the PNG keeps a transparent background, with only the window and its shadow drawn.
What size should I use for X, LinkedIn or Instagram?
Pick X / Twitter (1600 × 900) for posts on X, LinkedIn (1200 × 627) for link and feed images there, and Instagram 4:5 (1080 × 1350) for portrait feed posts. Auto simply fits the screenshot with your padding.
