About this tool

PDF Viewer is a full reader for PDF files that runs inside this page. Open one file or several and you get a proper reading desk: a strip of page thumbnails, the document’s own bookmarks, a big page view you can zoom, and a search box that finds words on every page and lights them up where they sit.

It is handy when the reader you have is awkward or missing: on a borrowed or locked-down computer, on a Chromebook, or when the browser’s own viewer can’t show bookmarks. It also opens password-protected PDFs when you know the password.

Everything happens on your own device. The file is never sent to AroraTools or anyone else, which matters for bank statements, contracts and medical letters. There is no account and no page limit, and Download hands back exactly the PDF you opened.

How to use PDF Viewer

  1. Press “Open PDFs” or drop one or more PDF files on the box. Each file gets its own tab above the pages.
  2. Scroll through the pages, or use the arrows and the page number box. Tap a thumbnail on the left (under the page on a phone) to jump straight to it, or open the Bookmarks tab to jump by chapter.
  3. Zoom with + and −, or choose Width or Page to fit the page to the screen. “Scroll” switches between one long scroll and one page at a time; “Two pages” shows pages side by side like a book.
  4. Type a word in “Search in this PDF”. Every match is highlighted; press Enter or the arrows to go from one to the next, or pick one from the list.
  5. Press Download to save the PDF, Print to print it, or the full screen button to read without distractions.
Example

A 48-page tenancy agreement opens on page 1. Typing “bond” lists 6 matches across pages 3, 11 and 40; Enter steps through them, and each one is highlighted on its page.

Features

  • Continuous scroll or one page at a time, with an optional two-page spread for books and magazines.
  • Only the pages and thumbnails near the screen are drawn, so a 500-page PDF opens quickly and stays smooth.
  • A Bookmarks tab with the PDF’s own outline, nested and foldable.
  • Search every page, ignoring capitals and line breaks, with highlighted matches and a results list.
  • Selectable text you can copy, for PDFs that contain real text rather than scanned pictures.
  • Zoom up to 8 times, fit to width or page, and turn the view for sideways scans (the file never changes).
  • Several PDFs open as tabs. Each remembers its page until you close the browser tab.
  • File details: pages, page size in millimetres, file size, title and author.
  • Print, full screen, and keys while the page view has focus: Page Up/Down, Home/End, + and −, and Ctrl or ⌘ + F for search.

Tips and good to know

  • Search finds text the PDF really contains. A scanned page is a picture of text, so it has nothing to find: run it through Searchable PDF (OCR) first, then open the result here.
  • Printing draws every page as a picture at print quality first, so a long PDF takes a few seconds before the print window appears. The button shows how far it has got.
  • On iPhone, Safari doesn’t let a web page go full screen, so that button is hidden there. Turning the phone sideways gives you a wider page instead.
  • Your page is remembered for this browser tab only; nothing about the file is kept anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. Your browser reads the file and draws its pages on your own device. Nothing is sent to AroraTools or to anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Is it free? Are there any limits?

Yes, it is free, with no sign-up, no page limit and no watermark. The only practical limit is your device’s memory with very large files.

Does it work on iPhone, Android and offline?

Yes on iPhone and Android: open the page in Safari or Chrome and choose a PDF from Files, Google Drive or your downloads. The page needs the internet to load, but reading the PDF happens on your phone.

Can I search inside the PDF?

Yes. Type in “Search in this PDF” and every match on every page is highlighted, with a list showing the words around each one. Press Enter or the arrows to move between matches. Scanned pages need OCR first, because they hold pictures rather than text.

Can it open a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you know the password. The viewer asks for it when you open the file and uses it only on this device. If you want a copy without the password, use Unlock PDF.

Can I open more than one PDF at once?

Yes. Choose several files, or press Add files later. Each one opens in its own tab above the pages, and each tab keeps its own place.

Does rotating or zooming change my file?

No. Zoom, two-page view and rotation only change how the pages look on screen. The Download button saves exactly the file you opened. To turn pages for good, use Rotate PDF.
